Omar Ramadan-Santiago is an anthropologist, writer, and cultural consultant from New Jersey. He holds a PhD in Anthropology with a certificate in Africana Studies, a MA in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and a BA in Anthropology and Religion. He has studied and worked extensively on issues of colorism and anti-Blackness within communities of color as well as the intersection of race, culture, and religion with regards to how people perform their various identities.Omar can provide consults for Latine, SWANA (Southwest Asian/North African), Muslim, and Africana/Afro-diasporic representations as well as “multi“ identities, specifically multiethnic, multicultural, and multireligious.Omar is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the San Francisco Bay Area and freelances as a cultural consultant. He also loves cinnabuns.
